George Floyd had a very long criminal history in Texas that has been made public. He was convicted of drug possession and manufacturing, criminal tresspass, and at least two robberies with violence. In the one that he served five years for, he admitted to breaking into a woman's home and holding a gun to her stomach in order to steal whatever he could find. The incident where he was arrested he was passing a counterfeit $20. Yes, Derek Chauvin made a bad choice and should not of had his knee on his neck, but he certainly should have been on top of George to prevent him from fleeing. In law enforcement's defense, criminals always play the 'you are hurting me card' when they are being placed under arrest. George was 6' 6" and you can tell from the photo of Derek that George probably was twice the weight of Derek. When you are a law enforcement officer, you do what it takes to detain a criminal. I have personally seen criminals out of control and hurt law enforcement personnel who were just trying to be nice. Short story, George was not an angel and certainly had not demonstrated what it means to be a decent human being. The color of your skin does not determine what a person thinks, feels, or does. That is all in the mind. Black lives matter and so do red, white, yellow and green.
